of course, TRUTH trumps those lies, lies, lies (enlightenment promotes truth where fear/hatedriven lies remain dark and destructive)..thanks for the video, it´s very ENLIGHTENING!
The Prop 8 folks remind me of the segregationists. Some people are going to cling to the past no matter what. These same dishonest christianist types are the ones promoting racism, xenophobia, and violence at McCain Palin rallies.
Marko, you bring up a good point. And we must remember that in the US, it was "activist judges" that ended segragation. The christianists were against it.
An article today from one of the Los Angeles suburban papers says that almost half the pro-Prop. 8 funds are coming from Mormons -- Proposition 8 attracts Mormon support. The article says in part:
"Mormons have emerged as the leading financial contributors to the controversial Nov. 4 ballot measure. Church members have donated about 40 percent of the $22.8 million raised to pass the initiative since July, according to Frank Schubert, campaign manager for ProtectMarriage.com, the primary backer of the 'yes' campaign."
Yep, Dr. Primrose; they've been told to donate, and obedience is one of the ways they work themselves into the heavens. I posted on this the other day.
James, The very worst example of judicial activism was the outcome of Bush v Gore in 2000. We are all still paying dearly for that decision. I don't believe that Bush ever won a legitimate election in 2000 or 2004. Christianist philosphy is regressive by nature. Mark

There is a name that should be very familiar to Episcopalians.
