RC priest speaks out against Minnesota's anti-equality amendment

We've talked quite a bit about the nasty anti-equality amendment in Minnesota, where the Roman Catholic archbishop has been aggressive in support-- to the point of recommending that parents reject their gay children.

However, there have also been brave priests pushing back.

Here's the latest. Fr Bob Pierson points out the conflicts in the church's interference in civil matters:  conflicts in conscience, and conflicts in doctrine.  "Civil marriage has never been recognized as matrimony in Church."  The same rules as everyone else.

Bravo, Fr Bob.  It's decent priests like him who are the hope of the institutional RC church.
