The business traveler's lament

Did I mention I've been in Atlanta? Yeah, doing a lot of traveling.

I'm in a strange hotel room
In a city not my own
I miss my home, I miss my wife
I call her on the phone

My water bottle's labeled
with a language I don't speak
It's clipped onto my briefcase
I refill it all the week.

What time is it what zone is it
Did you hear the news today?
What color is the money?
How long have I been away?

The alarm goes off at 3am
Although the sun is long since up
I stagger to the shower
Pour some tea into a cup

In yet another conference room
with powerpoint on a screen
We talk and question and discuss
The data that we've seen

What time is it what zone is it
What's the weather like today?
When can I leave to catch my flight
I don't want to be away!

Another airport, another plane
Stuff my baggage overhead
I can't wait till I get home
So I can go to bed!
