Anti-DOMA protest TOMORROW

Reminder: Tomorrow, Jan 10th, please join IT and friends in a peaceful nationwide protest against the National Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) which prevents gay marriages or civil unions from federal recognition.

Sorry for repeatedly posting OT topics. But it's just been reported that a New York court has ruled that Matt Kennedy may not take his church building with him on his way out the door -- The Episcopal Church Wins again!!!.

THat's okay, Primrose! I'm sure folks are quite interested in the news (more interested than in my ranting anyway)

But may I request NO GLOATING, guys... just think of the average pew-sitter in the church (any church) and his/her feelings when whipsawed between those in authority who are playing politics. There are real people hurt on both sides of the equation regardless of the rightness or wrongness of their position. I'm sure they love their little church just as much as the folks ousted in San Joaquin loved theirs.

I feel sorry for everyone that they can't find a way to compromise.
