Thanks for sharing this. When I was in the Army, my partner was (legally and on paper, my "cousin" and my designated next-of-kin). I also had him down as my insurance beneficiary (Servicemembers Group Life Insurance). If something bad happened to me, the Army would HAVE to deal with him. The whole DADT thing is really insane. It is obviously a law designed to please right-wing religious fundamentalists. Given the messes we are in in Iraq and Afghanistan, I am not eager to see anyone, gay or straight, go into the military right now.

How come we never heard about this "right" (gay marriage)until about ten years ago?
You have some church committee somewhere that sits around trying to think up things to do?

Two things: First of all, somebody say AMEN! (Oh, wait, somebody did.)

Secondly, when I saw this strip in the Washington Post, I immediately went to Knight's Website to give my praise and thanks, but it showed a different strip for that day! What gives? Was Knight afraid to put this strip up on his site? Did he do two strips that day for fear some narrow-minded editor would block this one?
