The Once and Future Diocese of Fort Worth

Katie Sherrod blogs about an event held by Fort Worth Via Media where faithful Episcopalians in that beleaguered Diocese came together for support and to plan for the future.

Read about it in The Once and Future Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth. Lots of good, positive things coming for Episcopalians in Fort Worth.

Episcopal Cafe has published some interesting news about the Diocese of Quincy. The cathedral and three other parishes are remaining with the Episcopal Church. This is going to create some real problems for the schismatic diocese because the pre-split diocese had only 1850 members -- and 1000 of those belonged to the catheral. The full story is here.

Episcopal Cafe has corrected its story concerning the statistics as follows:

CORRECTED: According to Episcopal Church statistics Diocese of Quincy membership in 2007 was about 1850 with an ASA of 1000 and St. Paul's Cathedral in 2007 was about 400 with an ASA of 220.
