It ain't over till the fat lady sings.

From the Equality for All mailing:
You might have seen the most recent field poll showing that 55 percent of likely voters are against Prop 8. Of course we are encouraged by these numbers that show the results of our hard work.

But to be successful, we need to run this campaign like we are 10 points behind. The multi-million dollar television attack ads haven't even started — and we know these ads will target the 7 percent of undecided voters, along with the 10 percent of voters who won't disclose their true opposition to Prop 8 to the pollsters....

Please stand with us at this critical time. Help us counter the other side's massive media buy that will start on September 29. We need the resources to get on the air that same day.

The pro-8 forces are raising more money than we are, by about 3-2.

Donate to No on Prop8. If you are an American citizen, you can donate; you do not have to be a resident of CA.

Have you read/heard that Brad Pitt have 100,00 to the NO campaign? Good on him!

Yeah, good on Brad Pitt. but where's Rosie O'Donnell? Or the other loud out and proud Hollywood types?

Ann, that was my beloved partner's ex-husband's comment after the June decision making gay marriage legal. He phoned her up and said "So, I think it's time you stop living in sin in front of my children!"

have I mentioned lately what a great guy BP's ex is?

Funny, too!

In an apparent attempt to be "balanced," the Los Angeles Times published this op-ed piece today -- Protecting marriage to protect children.

The basic argument is:

"For healthy development, what a child needs more than anything else is the mother and father who together made the child, who love the child and love each other.

"For these reasons, children have the right, insofar as society can make it possible, to know and to be cared for by the two parents who brought them into this world."

The comments seem to be about 10-1 against the article, including arguments that this reasoning would bar divorce, adoption, foster care, and in vitro fertilization.
