Were the names of the committee members secret?
NO, Grandmere, they were public the whole time. Haven't read the report yet.IT
Well then, Bishop Mathes is an example to the national church that committees don't need to be secret, even when hot-button issues are under consideration.
I perused this text (and how wonderful that it is available in pdf format for download). The openness of the process and the gentle and sane tone of the writing made a positive impression on me. I can't fathom how and why the national church became involved with a secret commission to discuss the same topics.
